Origin and history
BeMSA, the Belgian Medical Students’ Association, is an organization founded and incorporated in IFMSA in 2009.
IFMSA, an international organization recognized by the UN and the World Health Organization as a governing body for all medicine students in the world, was founded in 1951 and unites the student organizations of more than 100 nations spread across six continents.
Structure
In 2016, a reform took place within the board of BeMSA VUB. It was decided to take over the structure within the board of IFMSA. Below you can find a summary of the 6 different Standing Committees as well as the projects they organize.

BeMSA, l'Association belge des étudiants en médecine, est une organisation fondée en 2009 et qui fait partie de l'IFMSA.
IFMSA est une organisation internationale reconnue par l'ONU et l'Organisation mondiale de la santé comme un organe qui représente tous les étudiants en médecine au monde. Cette organisation a été fondée en 1951 et réunit les organisations d’étudiantes de plus de 100 nations réparties sur six continents.
Structure
En 2016, une reformation a eu lieu au sein du conseil d'administration de BeMSA VUB. Il a été décidé de reprendre en charge la structure d'administration de IFMSA. Vous trouverez ci-dessous un résumé des 6 comités permanentes ainsi que les projets qu'ils organisent.

Ontstaan en geschiedenis
BeMSA, de “Belgian Medical Students’ Association” werd in 2009 opgericht en maakt deel uit van IFMSA, een internationale organisatie die door de VN en de WHO erkend is als spreekorgaan voor alle geneeskunde studenten ter wereld. IFMSA is gesticht in 1951 en verenigt de studentenorganisaties van meer dan 100 naties verspreidt over zes continenten .
Verdeling
In 2016 gebeurde er een hervorming binnen het bestuur van BeMSA VUB. Er werd gekozen om de structuur binnen het bestuur van IFMSA over te nemen. Hieronder kan u een opsomming van de 6 verschillende Standing Committees evenals de projecten die zij organiseren terugvinden:
