The Mental Health project focuses on the different aspects of mental health faced by students. Several LCs organize awareness campaigns to inform students about mental health as well as activities to actively improve mental health. Furthermore, we host a safe space on different platforms where students can talk about their mental health and share tips.
Informing students is mostly done through quizzes. These quizzes are organized in real life or online. This way we make the subject discussable in an interactive and accessible way. There are also lectures on specific topics within mental health such as burnout in students and post pandemic recovery.
Activities to actively improve mental health vary widely. For example, yoga sessions and city walks are organized annually with the message that exercise and being outside can improve your mental health.
The mental health project is also at Teddy Bear Hospital, another BeMSA project. Here, children between the ages of 4-8 are educated about mental health and illness with their teddy bear.
We also run several platforms where students can talk freely and anonymously about their mental health. Here we students can share tips and experiences on how to deal with every aspect of medical school.

Activities to actively improve mental health vary widely. For example, yoga sessions and city walks are organized annually with the message that exercise and being outside can improve your mental health. Other initiatives are food related, such as the Mental Health Breakfast, underlining the relation between helathy food and mental wellbeing.
The mental health project is also at Teddy Bear Hospital, another BeMSA project. Here, children between the ages of 4-8 are educated playfully about mental health and illness.
We also run several platforms where students can talk freely and anonymously about their mental health. To reach as many students as possible we created communities on facebook and Discord. We encourage students to share their experiences, life lessons and tips on how to deal with medical school.
Finally, we highlight the mental health of doctors and doctors in training by wearing a bright pair of socks one day a year. This action is accompanied by online testimonials from doctors and students. The campaign is characterized by solidarity.
Vision
Everyone is aware of their mental health and everyone knows how to maintain their mental health.
Mission
Students are informed throughout the academic year about the importance of long-term and stable mental well-being and they have the resources to maintain their mental wellbeing.
Children understand mental health from a young age. They know how and with whom to talk about their mental health.
