BeMSA Mons
Who are we ?
BeMSA Mons is a local committee within BeMSA Belgium, the Belgian Medical Students’ Association. It brings together motivated students from Medicine, Pharmacy, and Biomedical Sciences, all sharing the goal of making their studies more concrete and practice-oriented.
Through various projects and workshops, we aim to help students develop essential practical and clinical skills, raise awareness about public health issues, and foster engagement within the healthcare community.
Our objective is also to promote international exchanges and collaborations within the BeMSA network, connecting future healthcare professionals across Europe.

The SCOPH pole deals with the public health aspect of the BeMSA. The Heart for Life where we take cardiovascular parameters and advise patients according to their result. The Teddy Bear Hospital where we are recreating a hospital for children’s comforters in order to de-stress the hospital environment.

It focuses on raising awareness about contraception, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV/AIDS prevention, and comprehensive sexuality education.
SCORA aims to promote a responsible, inclusive, and stigma-free approach to sexuality, giving everyone the knowledge to make informed decisions.
It also works to fight discrimination related to HIV/AIDS and to improve understanding of sexual health among both young people and adults.

SCOPE
The BeMSA's SCOPE (Standing Committee on Professional Exchange) programme enables medical students to undertake a clinical internship abroad.
By joining a hospital department at a partner university, participants discover other healthcare systems, hone their clinical skills and enjoy an enriching personal and professional experience.
SCOPE aims to promote international mobility, intercultural exchange and the training of future doctors who are open to the world.

SCORE
The BeMSA's SCORE (Standing Committee on Research Exchange) programme offers medical, pharmacy and biomedical science students a unique opportunity to take part in a research internship abroad. Indeed, this programme allows them to spend a month at a laboratory or research centre abroad, under the supervision of experienced researchers, while choosing a research topic that motivates them!
Thanks to an extensive international network of university partnerships created by the IFSMA (=International Federation of Medical Students' Associations), participants can discover new scientific approaches, develop their research skills and immerse themselves in an intercultural academic environment.
SCORE therefore promotes student mobility, global scientific cooperation and the training of committed future doctors/researchers!
First deadline for candidatures : 31st October
