Meet the national board

Underneath you can find all of the functions within our national board. You can also find their contact details if you click on the '', if you have any questions regarding the function, the work load, .... feel free to ask! 

You will see that some of our functions are part of the Executive Board (EB): these are the legal representatives of BeMSA, they have a more general role and all work very closely together to make the year a success for BeMSA as a whole. The EB together with the national officers form the Team of Officials (TO). 

Lastly: the national board also has assistants. These are appointed by the TO during their term, so this is not a function you can apply for at NGA3. But if you think this might be a fit for you, be sure to contact us or check our socials regularly. 


Vice-President - 

2025-2026: Isaak Van der Hoeven

The Vice-President (VP) is, just as the president, also a coordinator. However their focus lies more on a local level, as they are responsible for the City Representatives (the representatives of every LC). They preside over the City Rep Meetings & president sessions. 

The VP is also a part of the EB and TO. They are also responsible for the TO. 

President - 

2025-2026: Mathias Broeckx

The president is the 'coordinator' of the BeMSA team. They are a central contact point and help out where they can. They support the exchange officer, see to the BeMSA strategy & bylaws, keep contact with the IFMSA and preside over the national meetings. 

As part of the EB and TO: they are responsible for the TO and EB, and bear the end responsibility. 

Treasurer - 

2025-2026: Anneleen Brichau

The Treasurer's focus lies  on the finances and legal aspects. They are in charge of the bank accounts, the budgets, ...

The treasurer is also a part of the EB and TO.

Secretary - 

2025-2026: Louis Dewil

The Secretary's major task is documentation: of the TO meetings, EB meetings, NGAs, ... They make minutes of everything! They also play a big role in the organisation of the NGA. 

The secretary is part of the EB and TO.

NEO - 

2025-2026: Sherin Ramazani

As the National Exchange Officer, they organise the clinical (SCOPE) exchanges. They sign contracts with other countries, select our outgoing student, place the incoming students, support the LEOs, ... The board has place for 2 NEOs! Oftentimes the work then also gets divided into incoming and outgoing tasks.

As National Officer, they are a part of the TO.

Head of PR - 

2025-2026: Juta Briers

As Head of PR, you are responsible for existing and future sponsorships & partners. You manage our current relations. You are also responsible for BeMSA's visual identity: social media, booklets, website, ...

The Head of PR is part of the EB and TO.

NORE - 

2025-2026: Robbe Coeckelberghs (2)

As the National Officer on Research Exchange, they organise the research (SCORE) exchanges. They sign contracts with other countries, select our outgoing student, place the incoming students, support the LOREs, ... The board has place for 2 NOREs! Oftentimes the work then also gets divided into incoming and outgoing tasks.

As National Officer, they are a part of the TO.

NORE - 

2025-2026: Guinevere Savat (1)

As the National Officer on Research Exchange, they organise the research (SCORE) exchanges. They sign contracts with other countries, select our outgoing student, place the incoming students, support the LOREs, ... The board has place for 2 NOREs! Oftentimes the work then also gets divided into incoming and outgoing tasks.

As National Officer, they are a part of the TO.

NORP - 

2025-2026: Gaëlle Fretin

As the National Officer on Human Rights and Peace, they coordinate all of BeMSA's SCORP activities. They are a contact point for SCORP in Belgium, organise SCORP NGA sessions, coordinate the LORPs, and keep us involved in the IFMSA. 

As National Officer, they are a part of the TO.

NOME - 

2025-2026: Alicia Kuz

As the National Officer on Medical Education, they coordinate all of BeMSA's SCOME activities. They are a contact point for SCOME in Belgium, organise SCOME NGA sessions, coordinate the LOMEs, and keep us involved in the IFMSA. 

As National Officer, they are a part of the TO.

NORA - 

2025-2026: Narjisse Bouzahzah

As the National Officer on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV and AIDS, they coordinate all of BeMSA's SCORA activities. They are a contact point for SCORA in Belgium, organise SCORA NGA sessions, coordinate the LORAs, and keep us involved in the IFMSA. 

As National Officer, they are a part of the TO.

NPO - 

2025-2026: Kwinten Vandebergen

As the National Public Health Officer, they coordinate all of BeMSA's SCOPH activities. They are a contact point for SCOPH in Belgium, organise SCOPH NGA sessions, coordinate the LPOs, and keep us involved in the IFMSA. 

As National Officer, they are a part of the TO.

NOCB - 

2025-2026: Carsten Vermeer

As the National Officer on Capacity Building, the one vital tasks helping members acquire new skills and competencies. This is done through the NGA organisation, teambuildings, promotion of training events & other capacity building opportunities. 

As National Officer, they are a part of the TO.

             

Supervising Council - 

2025-2026: Corneel Claeys, Anna Lena Niessen & Jessie Nantongo

SupCo is a reporting point for breaches: ethical, bylaws, ... They also oversee the consequences. Additionally they supervise the TO, EB and our finances. They are also our wise advisors. 

They are the only people in the board that stand outside of the TO, to ensure a certain neutrality. And the only function that has a term of 2 years.

Make your application

To apply you will need to submit your CV, motivation letter and plan of action. The first 2 are very straight forward, the plan of action concerns what you would like to achieve in your term and how.

Submit you application

Then you submit your CV, motivation letter and plan of action in the form that you will find at the NGA3 event on the website.

Present 

Then make sure you are free on the 18th of April (NGA3). There you will present your candidature in front our members, and answer questions from the audience. 

Afterwards the City Reps will vote, and you will hear on the same day whether you will be part of the new BeMSA board!
